How do you know if you are indeed doing what you love? And how do you know what your strengths are?

You’ve heard it before—if you want to be successful in life you have to do what you love, and focus on your strengths. Discovering what it is you would love to do in life, and focusing on your natural strengths is something the best of the best always preach.

Richard Branson, the Founder of the Virgin group said, “If you don’t enjoy it, don’t do it. You must love what you do.”

Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” – Confucius

But it’s easier said than done. Below are the Top 11 telltale signs you are doing what you love.

1. You Look Forward to Waking Up the Next Day.
People who do what they love and love what they do don’t need an alarm clock. And if they do they rarely hit snooze. They are inspired to start the day. So the question to ask yourself is, what things do you look forward to doing?

2. You Get Energized Doing What You Do.
Inspired people who are doing what they love and what they are good at—always have energy to do it. They often finish their activities more energized than when they started. Do you have activities that give you a lift no matter how tired you are in the day?

3. You Actively Volunteer Yourself to Do It.
When it comes to things you love and are good at—you will likely volunteer yourself to do it. You don’t avoid it. And you will always have time to do it. You often would like to put it at the top of your to-do

4. You Lose Sense of Space and Time.
When you are excited about what you do, you tend to lose sense of space and time. That means, you are focused on the task at hand—and you don’t often stray from it to check on the clock or what is going on around you.

5. You Bring It Into Conversation All the Time.
Ever notice that people will be engaged in talking with you when it is about something they love? They can talk about it for hours on end without repeating themselves. There is always more to say. So what do you always try to bring into a conversation?

6. It’s All Over Your Bookshelf.
One of my business mentors has a large book shelf. Almost every book is about; personal development, sales, business strategy, wealth accumulation, and investments. You tend to fill your space with materials on the topic you love.

7. You See Things Through to Completion.
When you are faced with a challenge you are inspired to deal with it rather than to avoid it. People who love what they do and are doing what they are best at, have the confidence see things through to completion.

8. A Lot of Your Money Goes Into It.
Your spending habits tell you a lot about it. Women who love fashion and clothing will spend a large amount of their income on the latest styles and trends (clothes, magazines etc.). You will always find money to spend on the things that matter to you most.

9. People Think What You Do Is Special, but You Don’t Think It Is.
Often, people who are expressing their natural talents doing what they love, don’t think it is special. It comes so naturally for them they often dismiss it as just “something I do.” They are almost unaware. Think about a fish swimming. To them it’s just what they do.

10. You Would Do It Regardless Of Whether You Are Paid Or Not.
People who do what they love would do it whether they are paid to or not. That means they spend their weekend doing it, or can’t wait to finish work to get back into that very thing they love. It’s always on their mind 24/7.

11. Your Friends Call You A Fanatic.
When you do what you love, people who don’t share the same passion might call you fanatic. Addicted even. This is just a sign that you are devoted to what you do.
