7 Steps to BREAKTHROUGH Success

A young entrepreneur, Tucker Hughes from United States became a millionaire at age 22 after generating commissions in one of the most competitive industries on the planet – real estate. But he is no ordinary guy. At age 20, he was already qualified with a Master’s degree from a prestigious university. He leads an active lifestyle and has traveled to more than 50 countries, and completed 13 triathlons by age 22.

Despite being an overachiever, he wondered how to truly excel in the real world. After graduation, he moved to California’s Orange County to launch a new office for his family’s commercial real-estate business, and that’s when he had his first taste of real-life.

Tucker finally realized that the secret to millennial success in the business world is a combination of grit and creative thinking. He wrote an article “7 Mental Shifts That Allowed Me to Become a Millionaire at 22”  in Entrepreneur.com in December 2015, where he shared these 7 mental shifts to achieve massive success. Read on:

  1. Don’t Waste Your Youth

Embrace your youth wholeheartedly. Your age is an asset, which can be a powerful differentiator in a variety of ways. If you believe you can make it then you will make it, but the opposite is true if you give yourself excuses for failure. At the end of the day, people want to see a hard-working, intelligent and dedicated young professional who is hungry for success. They want to support you and become a part of your life.

  1. Reward Yourself

The best investment is in your future, and it starts by learning from the best mentors whether through books, or podcasts. Not everybody is a master of their field, but you can start by being a well-rounded genius, who is able to talk about any subject whether finance, politics or sports. Put your pursuit of learning above all else. Tucker believes in pampering himself, as a reward for hard work, and to prevent burnout.  “Consider splurging on memorable experiences and luxuries that will enhance your lifestyle. I get a weekly massage like clockwork, and it is one of the best productivity hacks I use,” he said.

  1. Make Decisions Quick

Conserve your mental power by making easy decisions as quickly as possible. For example, what to wear for work, and what to eat for breakfast each day. Mental stamina is developed over time By putting simple tasks on autopilot, you can put your attention on what really matters, and not let your limitations become the bottleneck to productivity.

  1. Stay Focused

The biggest differentiator between mediocrity and meteoric success is the ability to work productively for hours at a time. These long stretches are when important work is almost exclusively completed. Focus is paramount and, without intentionally developing mental stamina, you won’t be able to effectively compete with those who have systematically built up their endurance over decades in the business world. Stay focused. Perform a thorough analysis of your daily activities, and aggressively seek opportunities for improvement.

  1. Reach for a Bigger Goal

Goal-setting and its ability to accelerate success is a proven fact. If you don’t already have your  goals written out — one, five and 10-year goals, then you should start now. Tucker said: “I read mine the second I wake up every single morning. Now ask yourself, what must  happen to accomplish your 10-year goals in just one year?”

“Be mindful and diligent in charting an optimal path that pushes you to your limit. Maintaining consistency with your acknowledged goals can work both positively and negatively, and is cause for concern if you anchor yourself to a slower timeline of achievement,” added Tucker.

  1. Get Organized

You have heard this before, “Plan your work and work your plan.” Tucker said one of his biggest breakthrough was large-scale automation of his marketing systems. He created a process that allowed him  to quintuple my marketing output, while increasing his conversion rate considerably.

He said: “The simplest way to put your own content plan in motion is to create a multi-step campaign that touches a prospect through a variety of different mediums every week for at least a month. Follow a logical order and craft your content in a persistent way, while never becoming annoying.”  By developing rigid organizational systems, it will help improve your efficiency when faced with repetitive tasks.

  1. Believe in Yourself.

Finally, if it is not you, then who? Nearly every person who has failed, had an excuse. Successful people have stories of challenges they have overcomed with creative solutions. Someone has to make it, and nothing is stopping you from becoming that person who achieves his wildest dreams. The moment you look at a challenge, and say “there is nothing you can’t learn or develop to solve the problem, is the a moment of greatness.”

By making constant effort to excel each moment of the day, you would have developed a positive mindset towards your career success. “Keep it simple and remember that success is not an entitlement. If you really want to excel, you have to get out there and earn it every day for the rest of your life,” he added.
